Types of Indian Classical Vocal Music

Thumri: Emphasizes the importance of the lyrics and the emotional expression (Bhava).


Light Classical Vocal Music (Sugam Sangeet)

A genre of Indian music based on classical principles, but is more accessible and easier to understand for a wider audience.
